Health Data and Performance Analyst

The Health Data and Performance Analyst is a pivotal member of the performance and accountability team and provides subject matter expertise related to local health system performance in the areas of process management, business intelligence, statistics and analytics. Reporting to the Senior Director, Performance and Accountability, you will work closely with program and project leaders to analyze, evaluate and monitor local health system and health service providers’ performance.
Your responsibilities will include developing and applying standardized analytical methodologies and reporting specifications; using analytical and statistical methods and tools to collect and analyze performance data and information; synthesising and/or providing expertise and advice in the synthesis of data to assess project and program performance and assessing performance data quality. You will also play a key role in the design of tools, data/statistical modeling and reporting and the provision of expertise and support on data interpretation issues and implementation of data specifications and the monitoring and evaluation of health service provider performance.
Qualifications: Knowledge of analytical, statistical and modeling tools and methodologies and their potential applications and knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of process management and/or performance evaluation. Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting clinical, service and financial performance data and demonstrated ability to interpret data, problem solve and formulate decision alternatives. Knowledge and experience in the health care sector. Strong ability to manipulate and analyze data using a variety of software tools (e.g. MS Excel, Access, SAP, SAS, SPSS, ArcGIS). Post-secondary education in Business, Information Management, or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, team orientation; superior analytical, and evaluation and verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in French an asset.
