Analysing the Trends, the 2nd annual National Policy Research Conference

The focus of the conference is on the Trends Project, a joint undertaking of the Policy Research Secretariat and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. The Trends Project has engaged academics from universities across the country to look at major forces affecting Canadian society, and their potential impact on future public policy. The conference will showcase research on eight trends fundamental to the policy research agenda in the coming years: environmental pressures, globalisation, multiple centres of power, North American relations, population ageing, social differentiation, technological change and value change.
