Deadline September 5, 2014
The PAP-HN is requesting an expression of interest from researchers who are interested in studying the issue of poverty in small, rural communities. More specifically, using a community based participatory research approach to engage citizens in our area who are currently living in poverty or who have lived experience. The aim is that through this engagement we may gain a truer knowledge/understanding of the issue of poverty and how it presents in our area. We are hoping to understand the problems /barriers brought about by poverty in our communities and to unearth some potential community-directed solutions to these problems. This research would also be beneficial to community organizations providing service to people living in poverty as it could potentially direct their program planning and service delivery. Please note that this is a request for expressions of interest and will not necessarily lead to a contract award.
- Provide a summary document outlining the step by step plan for the proposed research (e.g., sampling strategy, methodology etc.)
- Propose any tools and resources required to complete the community based participatory research (e.g., training, interview guides, recorders, report templates etc.)
- A proposed timeline for completion of this research
- A detailed summary and description of how the requested deliverables will be executed
- A breakdown of costs
