How do we know whether our children are developing well?
Children who are exposed to optimal environments early in life have the best opportunities to grow up healthy and happy.
Children Vulnerable in Areas of Early Development: A Determinant of Child Health is a short report that looks at how Canada measures the health and well-being of 5-year-olds. The indicator Children Vulnerable in Areas of Early Development measures developmental outcomes and milestones achieved during the first 5 years of life within the context of early experiences. The report also provides an overview of provincial and territorial initiatives aimed at improving early child development.
