Do you want to increase your knowledge of mental health, particularly for youth aged 12 – 15? Do you want to increase your comfort level in asking the right questions and responding to the mental health needs of the youth with whom you work? Do you want effective tools and strategies to better support the youth with whom you work?
The Transition Years workshop will help build the capacity of those who work with youth, aged 12 – 15, in the area of mental health. Taking a preventative perspective, participants will learn how to support the development of Autonomy, Relatedness, and Competence in the youth they work with, in order to foster thriving and resilient youth.
There is no cost for this day-long workshop, however registration is required. Lunch and a participant workbook are included. This series of workshops, funded through the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care’s Healthy Communities Fund, is brought to you by a collaborative partnership of Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada – Central Region, Ontario Lung Association, Parks and Recreation Ontario, and The Students Commission of Canada.
