Motivational Interviewing Training from the Ontario Lung Association

Are you a health-care professional and interested in receiving Motivational Interviewing training?

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a “collaborative, person-centered form of guiding to elicit and strengthen motivation for change” (Miller and Rollnick, 2009). MI has a robust evidence base across a range of health behaviours, including respiratory health care.

The Ontario Lung Association is offering FREE MI workshops for health-care professionals across Ontario. These workshops are facilitated by health-care professionals who have attended the Training Enhancement in Applied Cessation Counselling and Health (TEACH) Project at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Workshops are available as a full day, half day or one hour session and can be catered to your group's knowledge of MI.
