OTF recently announced changes to their granting program which will take effect this year. The change involves the introduction of four distinct funding streams, each with a unique application process: seed grants, grow grants, capital grants and collective impact grants. As part of the change, there will be a commitment to consider projects on an individual basis (avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach), OTF will consider ‘like’ initiatives when evaluating an application, and OTF will adjust the application and reporting criteria to reduce the time burden on charities.

As part of our ongoing support of the environmental not-for-profit sector we’re keeping a close watch on the roll out of OTF’s granting program changes. This change marks the first major overhaul to their approach to granting in over 15 years, and will refocus how Trillium invests funds in Ontario’s non-profit sector.

This forum will be an opportunity for environmental organizations to hear from CEO Andrea Cohen Barrack and to engage in a dialogue to better understand the changes underway.  Come out and find out where you might fit into the new granting model.
