The Canadian Association of Family Resource Programs and the Canadian Father Involvement Network are partnering this year to host a three-day conference for those who support and work with families. The program consists of a selection of concurrent full-day and half-day sessions on topics such as infant mental health, leadership, engaging fathers, Nobody’s Perfect Parenting program, parenting in indigenous families, financial literacy, proposal writing and program evaluation. There will also be four keynote presentations through the program. Dr. Kyle D. Pruett, an award-winning clinician, author and researcher, will speak about the practice, science and value of positively engaging fathers in the lives of their children. Dalton Higgins will be joining us and Dr. Jean Clinton will speak about adolescent brain development. Dr. Judy Cameron will also give an interactive presentation on how life experiences shape early brain development, focusing on how supportive relationships and strong social supports enhance healthy brain development.
