The two-year Community Worker Diploma Program, created in 1975, trains students to work as organizers, advocates, facilitators, popular educators and community development generalists in a variety of community-based and social justice organizations including co-operatives, front-line social service agencies, ethno-specific agencies, immigrant and refugee services and organizations that promote and develop community services (such as day care, housing and youth services) for persons of diverse racial, ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds.
