RNAO's Mental Health and Addictions Initiative is pleased to present the Opioids Webinar Series, in partnership with the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH) OpiATE initiative, and CAMH’s Health Promotion Resource Centre.
 
The goal of this webinar series is to support nurses and other health-care professionals in implementing and sustaining addiction and mental health best practices. The series is intended for nurses and other primary-care professionals working with clients/youth who may experience substance abuse issues.
 
Our next webinar will be: Laying the Groundwork: Engaging Substance Using Youth for the Long-term.
 
The objectives of this webinar are to:

  1. Discuss youth developmental tasks and relevance to engagement in treatment
  2. Identify best practices in youth engagement
  3. Identify screening and interventions for substance use in youth
  4. Discuss a case study and share tips for effectively working with youth.
