Niagara Region has a Manager School Health Secondary position available within the Public Health Department.

1 Permanent Full-time

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Family Health, the Manager, School Health Program, provides technical expertise and administrative collaboration necessary to ensure the effective and efficient planning, implementation and evaluation of the Mandatory Child Health Program (0 to 19 years) according to current Ministry of Health Guidelines. Project responsibility may include the initiation of new revenue generating or cost recovery programming, as well as newer strategies to deliver current or new programming most effectively. The Manager is also responsible for components of other Mandatory Programs where the target population is school age children/youth and their parents and teachers.

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Current certificate of Competence for a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (B.Sc.N.)
  • Master's degree in any of the Health Sciences, Education or Administration
  • 3-5 years’ experience in public health nursing and community health promotion with additional experience in the management/supervisory role an asset.
