0-6 Integrated Clinical Service Worker
Permanent Full Time Position

The 0-6 Integrated Clinical Service Worker will be part of a team providing assessment and treatment to children (birth to age 6) and their families seeking services from Blue Hills. The 0-6 Integrated Clinical Service Worker will also participate in daycare consultations, workshops and group presentations.

The successful applicant will ideally hold a Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, ECE or an equivalent in a related field. The individual will have extensive clinical experience with families, children birth to six years and be able to apply theoretical and evidence based knowledge of child development and attachment as well as the influence of the social environment and community systems.  They will be able to plan and implement a variety of interventions, make differential use of various treatment modalities and counselling practices and develop and deliver workshops and groups for children, parents and families. The successful candidate also understands the childcare setting and early school experiences with experience in providing program consultations. Experience using Triple P and Watch, Wait and Wonder and Brief Intervention models is an asset.  They will be able to work independently as well as part of a team.  

The successful candidate will provide a case coordination/management function and demonstrate competency in verbal, written and applied communication/interpersonal skills with clients, collaterals and colleagues; demonstrate both an understanding of cultural diversities and an ability to integrate a cross cultural practice. They will have a willingness to work flexible hours which include evenings and some weekends as required; a willingness to work in the client home/community or school setting as needed; demonstrated excellent time management and organizational skills; demonstrated computer literacy and familiarity with computer technology for data entry.  

Eligibility for membership in the appropriate professional regulatory body is required. A valid driver’s license, $2 million vehicle liability insurance, two step TB test and a vulnerable sector screening will also be required.
