The Canadian Working Group on HIV and Rehabilitation (CWGHR) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Communications and Project Coordinator. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to collaborate with relevant CWGHR staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders in achieving CWGHR's overall goals.

The Communications and Project Coordinator will work out of the CWGHR offices in Toronto.

The key roles of the Communications and Project Coordinator are to:

  • Promote, develop, coordinate and facilitate CWGHR communications activities
  • Support the development and delivery of CWGHR projects and initiatives to link HIV, disability and rehabilitation

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of an undergraduate university degree in communications, marketing, journalism or other relevant field, a minimum of three years' communications and project coordination experience and fluency in written and spoken English and French.

The Canadian Working Group on HIV and Rehabilitation (CWGHR) is a national, charitable, organization that addresses issues of disability and rehabilitation in the context of HIV and related conditions. Formed in 1998, CWGHR promotes innovation and excellence in rehabilitation in the context of HIV. In order to promote a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation in the context of HIV, CWGHR is multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary in its membership and activities. CWGHR members come from across Canada, as well as other countries, and include people living with HIV, members of community-based HIV and disability organizations, national associations of health professionals, government agencies, private businesses, and the employment sector.
