Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre
The Canadian Breast Cancer Network is pleased to announce that we will be hosting an advocacy training workshop at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre in Toronto, Ontario from September 25 to 27.
The advocacy workshop will focus specifically on metastatic breast cancer and will offer participants the opportunity to connect, enhance their communication skills, and effectively deliver strong advocacy messages to a wide variety of audiences.
Preference will be given to applicants with metastatic breast cancer, as well as primary caregivers of women living with metastatic breast cancer.
This two-day training workshop is designed to share knowledge, build communication skills, and coordinate key messages across the country for metastatic breast cancer advocacy. The session will train participants to:
- navigate the Canadian political landscape and engage elected representatives on key breast cancer issues
- engage the public and media on issues of interest regarding metastatic breast cancer
- effectively communicate key messages about metastatic breast cancer to public officials
