Kempenfelt Conference Centre
Pre-Symposium Workshop: November 24, 2015
This is the largest annual training event for people who work with/supervise recreation, arts, health promotion, sport, and education programs and/or youth advisory committees/networks with youth ages 13-19.
This year, we have added a pre-symposium workshop: Positive Youth Development. You’ll gain valuable skills to help you support youth to develop the core competencies they need to transition into adulthood.
MBA delegates can select from a wide range of presentations on topics such as understanding youth sub cultures, youth-adult partnerships and mental health for youth. Join the Thursday plenary presentation on Youth Friendly Communities, celebrating 10 years of recognizing communities that are focused on supporting and engaging their youth. Over 40% of Ontario’s youth live in a Play Works recognized Youth Friendly Community.
Live outside Ontario? Look for special rates for CPRA/Provincial and Territorial Parks and Recreation Association Members.
