Opioid Problems: Treatment Solutions for Older Adults, CAMH

This half-day workshop will present information on prescription opioid painkillers, their availability, benefits and hazards, as well as promising treatment strategies for misuse among older adults. Through case studies and interactive group work, participants will have opportunities to apply new knowledge, practice skills and explore the benefits of clinical consultation.  The target audience is mental health professionals with intermediate experience in addictions, including social workers, counselors, and other service providers.
 
Opioid Problems: Treatment Solutions is being provided by CAMH’s Opioid Resource Hub. 

Registration is through the Nurse Practitioners’ Association of Ontario’s Annual Conference website as a pre-conference workshop; however, the workshop welcomes individuals not affiliated with NPAO.
