Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion, Waterloo Region Integrated Drugs Strategy

The Waterloo Region Integrated Drugs Strategy’s Enforcement and Justice Committee are pleased to invite you to a special forum.

Seattle-based guests from LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion) working in enforcement, criminal justice, health and social services will join us to share key aspects of their successful efforts in crime prevention through social development.

LEAD is a pre-booking diversion program for persons engaged in lower level drug and prostitution offenses in Seattle. Evaluations show a drop in recidivism of 60% for persons who participate in the LEAD program.  Funded by Open Society, you can visit LEAD at http://leadkingcounty.org/.
