The London InterCommunity Health Centre seeks a self-motivated Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to join our clinical team dedicated to providing health care to those who experience barriers to care. Reporting to the Team Lead, Primary Care and in collaboration with our Physiotherapist, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective delivery of physiotherapy services to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in collaboration with the Health Centre and community to develop and implement new programming to meet client needs. Under the direction of a Physiotherapist, the PTA will carry out individually designed treatment plans to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning.
The Physiotherapy Assistant works as a member of an interdisciplinary primary care team of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. The clinical team, in turn, is supported by Social Workers, Dietitians, Outreach Workers, Community Developers and support staff specializing in the areas of Mental Health, Children, Youth & Families, Immigrants & Ethno-cultural Communities, Poverty & Homelessness, and Diabetes & Chronic Diseases.
