Long Term Care – Staff Educator
Temporary Full-Time, 12-Month Assignment
$44.00 - $47.81 per hour, 37.5 hours per week

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing learning needs and designing, delivering and evaluating training programs that meet the requirements of the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and other relevant legislation, regulation and Branch needs.  This assignment supports staff in all aspects of the delivery of resident care including updates to clinical programs, changes in policies and procedures and training on applications and technology.  You will have the opportunity to participate in research, special projects and the evaluation of practices and procedures.

Our ideal candidate has completed a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and holds a current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.  You will have minimum of three (3) years’ experience in adult education and program design, development and evaluation in a Long Term Care or other geriatric setting.  Demonstrated experience in the development of e-learning modules and tools is an asset in the role.

We are looking for a highly motivated person with demonstrated ability in instructional design, analysis and evaluation.  You will have superior facilitation and writing skills and will embody our corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative, flexibility and accountability.
