Prevention and Cancer Control brings together cancer prevention, population health, screening, and research into a single organizational entity, with the express intent of strengthening linkages between Cancer Care Ontario’s expertise in surveillance and research and the implementation and operation of cancer prevention and screening programs, as outlined in the Ontario Cancer Plan. The Population Health and Prevention Unit aims to provide high-quality cancer-related prevention advice and programs to reduce the risk and burden of cancer in Ontario.

The Population Health and Prevention Unit is leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive workplace health promotion program for all CCO employees called Health Works. A Coordinator is required to assist the Health Works team with program management, coordinating healthy workplace initiatives, maintaining the Health Works intranet site, contributing to the development of program materials and reports, working with internal committees and external vendors, and other tasks.
