Did you know that 1/3 of breast cancers could be prevented by living well?
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, as part of Breast Cancer Action Month (BCAM), has added a new dimension to the OneNewThing (ONT) website: a 10-Day Challenge. The new “OneNewThing 10 Day Challenge” site launched in October, will be accessible on an ongoing basis, and will encourage women to commit to make a health behaviour change for 10-days. Women will be able to choose from a range of personalized activities based on the responses to questions in their breast health plan and will be encouraged to reinforce their commitment by sharing via social media. Participants will also have the opportunity to sign up for e-mail reminders to help keep them on track. In addition to increasing breast health awareness and literacy, this new component will help support women’s intent to change breast cancer risk behaviours. You can print out or e-mail your individual breast health plan to help you take further action and reduce your risk for breast cancer.
