The South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) is one of 14 local organizations in Ontario. The LHIN’s role is to plan, coordinate and fund local health services, including: hospitals, community care access centres (CCACs), long-term care homes, community health centres, community support service agencies, and mental health and addictions agencies. Communications and Web Coordinator
12 Month Contract - Secondment opportunities will be considered

You are a passionate and clear communicator. You know how to listen to and reach your audience using technology. You also understand how to blend new communication methods with traditional tools to deliver the right message at the right time – and you have proven success using those tools and methods. You are excited about what the future holds for communications as your audience increases their own understanding of new media. Your project management, consultative and communications skills are exceptional. You are seeking an opportunity where your technical skills and vision could be used to support health care in the South West LHIN.

Reporting to the Director, Communications and Community Engagement, you will: manage the South West LHIN website and social media accounts, create a range of communication products, support stakeholder engagement activities and assist with media relations. As part of the communication team, you will help to develop and implement strategic communications activities to support the LHIN’s mandate and strategic directions.

You will have: a post-secondary degree in communications, journalism, marketing, business or another relevant field; demonstrated writing and editing experience (Canadian Press style); experience in web content development and management and web analytics; and experience with social media. Understanding of the Ontario health system and proficiency in French would also be assets to you.
