Good Lovin?: Sex and Drugs..the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

To Celebrate Valentines' Day, the Toronto Drug Awareness Coalition presents "Good Lovin?: Sex and Drugs..the Good, the Bad and the Ugly"



Time 9:30 - 2:00

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, 33 Russell St., Meeting Centre, 2nd Floor.



Keynote speaker: Dr. Stephen Holzapfel, M.D., C.C.F.P, F.C.F.P

"Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll"

Dr. Holzapfel is a family doctor and a sex therapist who will provide a

general overview of the issues around sex and drugs and include a discussion of sexual addiction. Dr. Holzapfel is the Director of the Sexual Medicine Counselling Unit in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, the Women's College Campus of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and an Ass't Professor in Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.



As well there will be concurrent workshops for service providers.



1. for service providers working with YOUTH

Anne Barrett, Sexual Health Educator, Toronto Public Health.

"Practical strategies and interactive exercises to engage youth in a

discussion about safer partying".



2. for service providers working with ADULTS

James Murray, Gay Men's Community Development Coordinator, AIDS Committee of Toronto.

"Sex and drugs in the gay men's community: issues and strategies".



3. for service providers working with SENIORS

Dr. Stephen Holzapfel, (as above).

"Aging and sexuality, including a discussion of pharmaceutical aids, risks and benefits"

The Forum is free and a light lunch will be served.
