April 4-6, 2016
TOPHC is one of the most comprehensive and engaging public health events in Ontario. This year’s theme, Collaborate. Innovate. Transform., examines how all three actions (collaboration, innovation and transformation) can work in unison to move public health forward.
The 3-day event includes workshops, panel discussions and sessions including:
- Using evidence in the Health Equity Impact Assessment (HEIA)
- Evaluating policies: Challenges and lessons learned
- Engaging and supporting municipalities to develop, promote, and adopt healthy public policies
See the full program listing at http://www.tophc.ca/Pages/Agenda-at-a-Glance.aspx.
And you won’t want to miss this year’s Hot TOPHC session: The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s Patients First Discussion Paper proposes to better integrate public health with other health services through alignment within Local Health Integration Networks (http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/news/bulletin/2015/docs/discussion_paper_...). Hot TOPHC will explore the opportunities and challenges for public and population health and integration at the local level. The session features presentations, panel discussions and debate with local and international experts.
