The Health Promoter works to improve the health of individuals, populations and communities by conducting community needs assessments and coordinating, developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating community health promotion programs. The Health Promoter advocates for patients, clients and communities across the health care continuum to ensure that needs are met. In addition to the duties identified in the job description, the Health Promoter will act as the lead for the organization on the Healthy Kids Program funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care by spending 50% of his/her time working as the Program Manager/Consultant. The Healthy Kids Program runs for the next two fiscal years and is well under way. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the current incumbent on a transition strategy.
