Call for Participants--program to help youth with disabilities to get started with looking for employment, Bloorview Research Institute

Are you a young adult with a physical disability between the ages of 15-25 or a parent of such a youth? Considering participating in our study.

What’s this study about?

This study will explore whether an online e-mentoring intervention for youth and their parents can be helpful for youth with disabilities to find jobs.

Who can participate?

  • Youth with a physical disability between the ages of 15-25 who is currently enrolled in or recently completed school, or
  • A parent of a youth meeting the above criteria.
  • Have access to computer and internet

What’s Involved?

Youth and/or parent participants will be asked to complete an online survey before and after completing the employment intervention. This will take approx. 30-60 minutes to complete. To take part in the  online employment program we ask that you log in at least once a week for 12 weeks and contribute to the weekly discussion.

Participants who complete the surveys and the employment intervention will receive a small token of appreciation, a $20 gift card to thank them for their time.
