We are hosting a webcast on Mental Health after Spinal Cord Injury on October 25th, 2016 from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. Peer Support Volunteers will share stories and personal experience, and Dr. Cheryl Bradbury, UHN Toronto Rehab Psychologist will share clinical perspectives on mental health after spinal cord injury. Topics for discussion include:
- Understanding the brain and emotions – what’s going on in my body?
- What to expect and challenges during recovery
- Supporting a loved one experiencing a mental health crisis – how to bring it up?
- Giving myself a mental health check-up – what can I do to stay healthy?
The discussion will be webcast live and we will take your questions online. If you live in the Toronto area join us in person at Lyndhurst Centre, 520 Sutherland Drive, in Lecture Room A/B.
