April 6, 2017
3rd floor, TELUS House, 25 York Street
Over its seven years, we have transformed The Sandbox Project’s annual stakeholder meeting from a traditional conference format into a more active style of collaborative workshop.
On April 6th, the newly renamed Sandbox Summit will bring together stakeholders from all corners of Canadian child and youth health and wellbeing including researchers, practitioners, policy makers, charities, corporate Canada, families and young people.
The Sandbox Project is proud to partner this year with the Children and Youth in Challenging Contexts (CYCC) Network for our most interactive event yet. Wisdom2Action (W2A) is an event format designed by the CYCC Network to facilitate cross-sectoral knowledge sharing and connection building across the child and youth serving sector.
- Canadian beach volleyball Olympian and Sandbox Project Board Director, Martin Reader, will join us once again as our MC for the day.
- Hear updates on key initiatives from Sandbox Working Groups in Environmental Health, Injury Prevention, Growing Healthy Bodies, Mental Health and the Young Canadians Roundtable on Health.
- Our lunchtime discussion will provide a unique opportunity for participants to help shape the Canadian Index of Child and Youth Wellbeing led by UNICEF Canada.
- Participants are invited to give a "1-Minute Update" on behalf of their organization or host an Open Space conversation in our collaborative afternoon.
