Quest Community Health Centre is a not-for-profit, interdisciplinary, health care organization. We are one of 73 government funded Community Health Centres in Ontario. Our holistic model of care focuses on primary care, health promotion, and community capacity building, while taking into account underlying conditions that affect a person's health such as poverty, housing, and unemployment.
With your skills, positive outlook and sensitivity to the needs of the community, you will facilitate the development of health care services for members of Niagara’s migrant agricultural worker community.
The Community Health Worker works within an interdisciplinary team to provide health education/promotion, and develop, implement, and evaluate initiatives that support the primary health care services to migrant agricultural workers. This position has a strong emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, case management, and community capacity building within a harm reduction framework.
If you have completed a college or university program in nursing, health promotion or other health-related discipline and have experience in a community setting working with interdisciplinary teams and coordinating activities or events we encourage you to apply. The successful candidate demonstrates confidence and is a skilled networker and public speaker. Experience in working with the migrant agricultural worker community and speaking Spanish is an asset.
