June 22 & June 29, 2017
Springtide Resources, 215 Spadina Ave, Suite 220
Springtide Resources invites you to attend an evening of healing and support for those in Deaf and disability communities who have experienced loss.
Hosted by Lamia Gibson, parent, acupuncturist, and fellow griever and Lucy Costa-Nyman, parent, advocate, and fellow griever
“How do I keep living after experiencing loss?”
“How do people keep going with all this grief, all this sadness?”
“How do I integrate my disability, Deafness, and loss?”
We are offering two one-night workshops to members of Deaf and disability communities, including participants, clients, service providers, educators, community organizers, and all other members.
What you can expect:
- First we will eat a meal together.
- Then we will share our experiences, discover the tools we already have, and learn new skills and supports from each other.
- Finally you will be invited to integrate your feelings and learning from the evening. Integration time can include sitting in quiet reflection or receiving acupuncture, with or without needles. You are welcome to choose whatever support you prefer.
Cost: $40 (sliding scale available)
