This workshop is designed to meet the needs of workplace wellness specialists such as human-resources managers, private-sector wellness practitioners, occupational health and safety personnel, community-health workers and those with an interest in work life initiatives. Topics covered include workplace wellness programs and how they work, factors that influence successful program delivery and resources available to support wellness initiatives back in the workplace. Featured speaker is Sue Brown, professor and coordinator of the Workplace Wellness & Health Promotion program, Centennial College.



* Social Support in the Workplace

Thursday, June 26, 2003, 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

This workshop focuses on maximizing the value of an organization's most effective and efficient resource--its workers. Practical programs that have built upon the strength of co-worker inter-relationships will be highlighted. Topics covered include social support and conflict management in the workplace, employee perceptions of entitlement and justice, innovative workplace wellness programs and cost-benefit analysis. Featured speaker is Olivia McIvor, Kyosei Consulting, Inc., Vancouver, who will present her program, Kindness to Colleagues.
