KFL&A Public Health is a local public health agency with over 200 staff and 150 volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area.  There is an immediate opening for a Database Administrator within the Knowledge Management Division.

This position is responsible for effective installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of all Production and Customer facing database instances. This includes technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure and ensures that servers, databases and related procedures adhere to organizational privacy standards for patient health information.

The successful candidate will have a Software Engineering or Computer Science degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and 5 years relevant experience as a database administrator; experience in Microsoft Server 2012; proficiency in T-SQL Programming; Experience deploying and troubleshooting SQL Transaction Replication and High Availability; experience in application hardening and security best practices; and working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting database servers, including Microsoft SQL server.
