United Nations Association In Canada, It's To Act: Mobilizing Canadian Youth Around HIV/AIDS

The Ottawa Regional Forum will involve guest speakers, video presentation(s) and group discussions in order to share knowledge and create personal and sustainable strategies that increase the ability of young people to prevent and manage HIV/AIDS in local, national and global contexts. In addition, we hope the regional forum will help facilitate greater youth participation in the XVI International Conference on AIDS, scheduled for August 2006 in Toronto. A formal agenda will be available once registration has been finalized.

We encourage registration from HIV-positive and HIV-affected or at-risk youth, youth working around HIV/AIDS issues and organizations and youth who have little or no knowledge or experience with HIV/AIDS.

Participants must be 20 to 29 years old. Registration is free. Space is limited. A light lunch will be provided on Saturday.

To register call (613) 232-5751, extension 234 or 259, or email hiv_aids@unac.org hiv_aids@unac.org.
