Establishing and developing health promotion in an Acute Trust.

The article explores hospital-base health promotion through the use of quality assurance in health promotion and the 1992 "Health of the Nation" in the UK. The authors include six aspects of quality which they state are "relevant to health promotion": 1) accessibility, 2) equity, 3) relevance to need, 4) acceptability, 5) efficiency, 6) effectiveness. In addition, their work supports a settings-based approach.
