CCA's Co-operative Economic Development Program

The Canadian Co-operative Association's "Co-operative Economic Development Program seeks to support the growth and development of existing and new co-ops and credit unions. Through the CED program, CCA also worked to develop the capacity of co-operatives and credit unions to become involved in community based economic development initiatives in their own communities. Strategic areas of work include:

* catalysing development of co-ops in strategic economic sectors in Ontario, including: the public sector/health, energy, agriculture and rural sectors, small business

* developing the capacity in Ontario for financing for co-operative development

* sharing information with our members and the public about innovations in co-operative and credit union development and CED"
