The Eagle Project - AFN

The Effects on Aboriginals from the Great Lakes Environment (EAGLE) Project is a community-based initiative to examine the effects of contaminants in the Great Lakes on native health, well-being and quality of life. This program is developed by native people for native people. They are developing a tool kit which will include survey tools, environmental health fact sheets and information on carrying out a community action plan. See the Spring /Summer 1999 OHCC Update newsletter for an interview with Alan Corbiere, steering committee members and Ontario regional representative for the Lake Ontario region of the project.
