The Ontario Women's Health Network (OWHN), a grassroots network of women's health organizations from around the province, is seeking a dynamic, creative and bilingual (French and English) individual with strong networking and community development skills, particularly with women's communities in eastern Ontario.
The OWHN is a network of individuals and organizations in a provincial steering committee, 6 forming regional committees, staff and a central office, that takes action to promote women's health. For more information on the OWHN see the new web-site at http://www.opc.on.ca/owhn/
The primary responsibility of this 8 week contract is to enhance the development of a regional steering committee on women's health in Eastern Ontario to work on local priorities in women's health, and share resources and experiences. Work must be completed between April 6th and May 28th, and is based on 2.5 days a week. Applicant must be an experienced bilingual community organizer with strong community connections. Involves some travel, but ideally based in Ottawa area.
