NEDIC: Assistant Programme Co-Ordinator


The National Eating Disorder Information Centre is a feminist information and referral agency mandated to provide information and resources on eating disorders and weight preoccupation. We are seeking a Programme Co-ordinator whose tasks will include:

* ensuring delivery of information, guidance and referral to clientele

* preparation and delivery of public/professional education workshops and seminars

* assistance in planning, development and implementation of local and national awareness campaigns

* support of Director in media campaigns

* supervision of subordinates in service delivery and administration

* assistance in development and preparation of reports and proposals

* overseeing daily functioning of the office



Qualifications and Experience:

* demonstrated leadership abilities; ability to work closely as a team-player and individually

* demonstrated ability to organise, manage and oversee projects and team

* demonstrable strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

* knowledge of youth and women's health issues and interest in access issues

* proficient computer skills: Word; Access and Excel

* valid Ontario driver's license

* willingness to work some evening and weekend hours

* minimum: diploma in health/social services, health or public administration, or equivalent experience



Salary Range: ($28,000 - $35, 000; under review)
