Help Desk Support/ Technology Facilitator

Help a dozen non-profit Health Promotion Resource Centres (OHPRS) around Ontario with supporting their technology needs to participate in an Intranet; through hardware and software purchasing, setup, training, and maintenance. From a downtown Toronto base, the Technology Facilitator will actively keep in touch with centres (with site visits, telephone contact, email) in Toronto, Kitchener and Ottawa, in a timely and effective manner.

Essential Qualifications: university or college education; high level of initiative; broad familiarity with current computer technologies, including networks, current office productivity applications software, repairs, trouble-shooting, and hardware upgrading; teaching/training experience; excellent telephone and inter-personal skills, experience and interest in working with non-profit organizations.

Assets: knowledge of health promotion field, Internet protocols, Microsoft certification, Adobe certification, Livelink Intranet, writing/editing experience.

Position requires some travel. Full-time through March 31, 2000. Flexible terms. Contract or salary at competitive rates (range $35,000 - $45,000 annual, pro-rated for time period, with possible contract renewal).
