The Kitchener Downtown Community Health Centre (KDCHC), opening in year 2000, will provide or facilitate access to a comprehensive range of primary health care, with an emphasis on those who experience barriers to accessing appropriate health resources. We are looking for two positions:
1. Health Promotion Coordinator
Join our team! As the Health Promotion Coordinator you will engage people and groups in the community and facilitate collaboration between KDCHC primary care services and health promotion programs.
Responsibilities include planning, coordinating and evaluating relevant wellness related programs, building and maintaining community networks, and increasing community awareness of KDCHC programs.
Job requirements include a Masters degree in health or social services (or equivalent), a minimum of 5 years of health promotion or community development experience, superior communication and facilitation skills, and expertise with program design, evaluation and advocacy. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural setting is a must. Fluency in multiple languages would be an asset.

2. Administrative Assistant
Join our team! We are seeking an energetic Administrative Assistant to provide a full range of administrative support in a team environment.
Responsibilities include: leading the administrative support team, managing our information system, scheduling, organizing and preparing meeting minutes, developing and maintaining a filing system, coordinating purchases, facility management and general office administration functions.
Five years of related experience are required as well as proficiency with office computer applications and excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience in a health and/or community-based environment and bookkeeping skills are definite assets.
