Associate Manager, Consumer Initiatives - HSF Ontario

The Health Promotion department is responsible for significantly increasing the reach and impact of proven programs/resources on target communities. There is currently a position available as Associate Manager, Consumer Initiatives. This position will have the overall responsibility for the Health Promotion Consumer Program areas of Heart, Stroke, HeartSmart Women, and other Adult targeted resources, in addition to support of general Consumer marketing efforts.

Reporting to the Manager, Consumer Initiatives, you will be responsible to:

* Lead the development and implementation of promotion plans to achieve reach and participation objectives for assigned programs/product responsibilities

* Oversee the development, coordination and evaluation of all elements of the programs, resources and broad reach awareness tools for assigned programs

* Forecast program needs for identified resource materials, and the management of all aspects of program's agreed budget for assigned programs

* Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of the overall vision of assigned programs

* Identify new opportunities within the program to expand the Foundation's reach and impact

* Provide superior customer service to internal/external stakeholders

Essential Skills

* Proven marketing/promotion skills and orientation including experience in evaluation

* Web familiarity and web marketing skills

* Demonstrated project management, print production and resource development/supplier management skills

* Demonstrated relationship building skills and customer service

* Proven strategic leadership and teamwork skills

* General knowledge of heart and stroke modifiable risk factors and primary prevention would be an asset

* General knowledge of health promotion strategies and tactics would be an asset

* Excellent planning and organization skills

* Superior problem solving and communication skills

* PC literate using Windows 95, MS Office and Internet
