We are looking for an energetic, organized and creative individual to
provide administrative, reception, clerical and accounting support for the Director and the Program Manager of the Ontario Tobacco Research Unit Duties include: responding to a wide range of inquiries from researchers, agencies, the Ministry of Health, and the health community; reception duties; typing and editing documents and manuscripts; data entry; photocopying,filing, etc.
You should have a diploma in Office Administration or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3-5 years general clerical/reception experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. You must possess excellent knowledge of software applications, including, but not limited to, Windows 95, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
You are a motivated team player who is enthusiastic and detail oriented, shows initiative, possesses excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates creative problem solving paired with the ability to prioritize work activities. You have superior organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to demonstrate sound judgement, discretion and courtesy; demonstrated ability to respond to clients professionally and politely, as well as provide clerical support functions efficiently.
The successful candidate should also be flexible and be able to work both as a team player and independently with minimal direct supervision. Familiarity with tobacco control research is a definite asset.
Salary Range: $28, 980 - $37,065 per year
