Ontario Women's Health Network - Fundraising Coordinator, short-term contract

Since 1997, the Ontario Women's Health Network (OWHN) has been assisting individuals and organizations to take action to promote women's health, by linking women to relevant tools and resources, and by providing channels to voice women's health concerns. See the OWHN website for more information -

A Fundraising Coordinator is required to work on contract over 3 months with the Provincial Coordinator and the Sustainability Committee to develop a two-year sustainability strategy that includes sustaining the Network's momentum, leadership, partnerships and resources.

The Fundraising Coordinator will:

* Identify and profile 20 potential funders

* Develop a funding proposal template

* Develop outlines for 2 projects

* Develop drafts of 3 funding proposals

* Identify the marketability of OWHN (e.g. education programs, membership fees, sale of services)

* Develop a 2-year sustainability strategy

Skills and knowledge required:

* Demonstrated proposal writing skills

* Sound knowledge of a wide-range of fundraising techniques and strategies

* Proven successful track record in fundraising

* Proactive, energetic and creative in researching and developing prospects

* Demonstrated ability to develop realistic and achievable plans

* Highly organized and effectively able to handle multiple tasks

* Interest in/knowledge of women's health issues

* Experience working with non-profit organizations

Time Frame: Approximately 20 days throughout September, October and November. Submission Deadline: Monday, September 11 by 3:30p.m.
