CPAR is a non-governmental organization based in Toronto. Founded in 1984, CPAR is dedicated to building healthy communities in eastern and southern Africa through integrated community-based development, and to being the voice of the health sector in Canada in relation to international development issues. In addition to its head office in Toronto, CPAR also has major offices in Ethiopia, Malawi and Uganda with a total staff complement of 250 people.
The CEO is responsible to the Board of Directors for the effective management and leadership of CPAR. The major areas of activity include:
- Planning and Program Management
- Revenue Generation, Donor Relations and Strategic Partnership Development both in Canada and internationally
- Liaison with Board of Directors and Chapters across Canada
- Employee and Financial Management Control
We are looking for a mature person with substantial experience in international development. This individual will have a proven track record in developing and executing successful community-based development programs. Excellent written and other communication skills are required. Academic qualifications in a health-related discipline are preferred.
