Research and Program Evaluation Analyst

SALARY RANGE: $35,530 to $41,190 (Full Time)

The George Hull Centre is a children's mental health centre funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS). Our mandate is to provide comprehensive mental health services to children and families birth through eighteen years, to contribute to research on children and families, and to provide professional training. We require a Research

and Program Evaluation Analyst to support the activities of the Centre generally and of the Research Department specifically. The ideal candidate has considerable experience in database management and knowledge of research and program evaluation.


To support the work of the Centre in the following capacity:

* Ensures the integrity of research databases and extracts data from client database upon request

* Coordinates the Centre's website and ensures its accuracy

* Maintains current mailing lists

* Assists in implementation and supports the use of the Brief Child and Family Phone Interview (BCFPI) intake measure as mandated by the Ministry

To support the work of the Director of Research in the following capacity:

* Coordinates and supports data collection activities, conducts statistical analyses and prepares reports for outcome evaluation, program evaluation, and quality assurance activities

* Coordinates and oversees the coding and scoring of tests, questionnaires, and other instruments used for program evaluation, quality assurance, and/or research purposes

* Conducts and oversees data entry and the ongoing maintenance of confidential research and client files and databases

* Reviews/searches for literature as needed

* Assists in implementation of the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale to compile client outcome data as mandated by the Ministry


* Post-graduate degree/diploma in the social sciences, research and program evaluation experience

* Advanced knowledge of computer database management, i.e., Lotus Notes, Crystal Reports, Access

* Advanced knowledge of Internet and computer programs, i.e., Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Visual Basic

* Knowledge of computer programming would be an asset, i.e., Lotus Notes, Access

* Experience with social services or children's mental health an asset

* Highly organized, able to attend to detail, and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
