(Full-time contract position for 2 years with the possibility of extension)
The mission of the Centre for Families, Work, & Well-Being is to promote individual and family well-being, responsive and productive work environments, and strong, sustainable communities through research and teaching. The Executive Director will be responsible for working with key faculty to develop innovative projects and provide leadership for the centre. Duties include
* overseeing a variety of research and consulting projects
* liaising with a range of organizations
* generating revenue
* supervising research consultants and staff
* developing business plans, and
* monitoring the budget.
Requirements of the position include a graduate degree in the Social Sciences with specialized knowledge in work/life issues, human
resources, or a related area; demonstrated experience in a managerial capacity in a consulting or research organization; and excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
