One 18 Month Contract - Mental Health (York)

One Permanent Full Time - Long Term Care (Simcoe)



The Simcoe York District Health Council is seeking 2 qualified individuals to support volunteer Council and committee members in a variety of planning initiatives.



The individuals will work with community partners to facilitate systems change. Managing short-term and long-term projects and structuring and facilitating systems level planning will be the focus.



Knowledge of the relevant sector is required, as is knowledge of provincial policy and related developments in these areas. The individuals must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, project management expertise, strong analytic and conceptual skills, solid computer skills, ability to set priorities, work to tight time lines, and facilitation/negotiation skills. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships is required. The individuals must be self-starters who can work both independently and as part of an integrated planning team.



Educational preparation to the level of a Masters Degree is preferred, along with three to five years experience. However, various combinations of education and experience will be considered.



The position involves travel within Simcoe County and York Region. Access to a car is a necessity.
