The Sudbury & District Health Unit has a challenging opportunity available within a teaching health unit environment. We are seeking to fill one (1) full-time contract position (ending March 31, 2003) for a Women's Health Outreach applied research project sponsored by the Ontario Women's Health Council. Working within an interdisciplinary environment, this individual will be instrumental in the development, implementation and comprehensive evaluation of a primary health care women's outreach project for the Sudbury & District Health Unit's catchment area.
As a member of the interdisciplinary Public Health Research, Education and Development (PHRED) Division, you will work closely with the evaluation subcommittee of the project team to coordinate and implement the evaluation plan. Your responsibilities will include tool development, data collection, analysis and interpretation and report writing. The successful applicant will have a minimum undergraduate degree in the health or social science field and a minimum of two years experience in research and program evaluation. Experience with computer programs for quantitative and qualitative data analysis is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both official languages preferred. Demonstrated organizational skills are essential, complemented by demonstrated ability to work independently.
A valid driver's license, use of a vehicle, the ability to work flexible hours and travel within Sudbury and districts are required for this position. Annual salary is $40,000 - $45,000 plus benefits.
