We are looking for someone to do thorough searches, on an as-needed basis, for health promotion information (e.g., print materials, internet resources, related organizations). The information will be related to a variety of topics and audiences, and collected using methods and data sources that we already use, as well as methods that the successful applicant may recommend or prefer. Hours and location of work are flexible. Deadlines will be provided as requests are made.
Qualifications or requirements:
Information Studies Graduate or upper-level student who has experience searching for a wide range of print and electronic resources and organizations. Experience with health promotion topics would be an asset. Applicants should have their own search tools (computer, email, internet access, etc.) though we can provide access to University of Toronto library services (including some electronic databases and electronic access privileges) and some other health promotion specific data sources.
Salary and benefits:
We will pay $28.57 per hour to conduct searches on an as needed basis. Our goal is to establish a relationship with a suitable person who would be contracted to carry out approximately 100-150 hours of work each year.
