Our Public Health Department is currently recruiting full-time, part-time and temporary Public Health Nurses for Family Health and Healthy Lifestyles.
The Family Health Division is looking for a part-time (includes weekend work) Public Health Nurse to work on the assessment team for the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program. Recent experience in a maternal newborn setting would be an asset. Temporary positions are also available in the Child Health program on the Breastfeeding and Parenting teams. Casual Prenatal Educator positions are also required to teach evening prenatal classes.
The Healthy Lifestyles Division is looking for two full-time Public Health Nurses on the Families First team. This home visiting program focuses on at-risk sole support parents and their children (older than six years of age). Mental health and parenting support/referral are the major areas addressed. Our Child and Youth team is also hiring for full-time and temporary positions. This team focuses on promoting the health of school-aged children.
To qualify for any of the above positions, individuals must possess:
* a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent
* current certificate of competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
* excellent assessment, communication, health promotion and problem solving skills
* access to own transportation
* recent experience in public health is preferred
* fluency in other languages would be considered an asset.
The salary range for a full-time position is $47,338 - $55,037 and $26.01 - $30.24 per hour for a temporary position (as per collective agreement).
